Current pest situation evaluated by EPPO on the basis of information dated 2016: Present, restricted distribution
Comments
Evidence of its presence was reported in 2011 but the insect was not seen again (it probably did not establish).

EPPO Reporting Service (2017/145) : in November 2016, a nest was found in Guignies (south of Tournai). This first nest was destroyed but Asian hornet specimens were found or caught in nearby localities in 2017.
