Unaspis citri(UNASCI)

Distribution details in Malta

Situation
Current pest situation evaluated by EPPO on the basis of information dated 2018: Absent, unreliable record
Comments
Reported as present in a FAO consultants' report in 1994. However, Mifsud et al. (2014) carried out extensive field surveys in the Maltese Archipelago and did not find any evidence of U. citri. In addition, there appears to be no slide‐mounted material deposited in museum collections to support the report of U. citri being present in Malta. This species is now considered to be absent from Malta.
