Comments
The NPPO of Taiwan informed CABI that in 1980, T. granarium was recorded in rice silos in central areas of Taiwan. However, the pest was subsequently eradicated and has not been reported since 1990 in any nationwide studies of stored grain insects in Taiwan. Specific surveys (2012-2015) in paddy silos, imported rice bins, and rice mills confirmed its absence. T. granarium is listed as a quarantine pest in Taiwan.
