Comments
EPPO Reporting Service (2022/001) : in the most recent list of Lepidoptera of South Africa (Krüger, 2020) based on a review of type specimens of Tortricidae in the Natural History Museums in Pretoria and Cape Town in South Africa, C. pronubana is considered to be absent. The past record of Vári et al. (2002) remains unconfirmed. In addition, there are no records of the pest in reference entomological guides. The NPPO of South Africa therefore considers that the pest is absent from its territory.
