The pest is considered to be present in the South of the Russian Federation (Sinev, 2019) under outdoor and protected conditions (Kulinich, All-Russian Plant Quarantine Center, pers. comm., 2025). High level of population was reported after pheromone monitoring in Krasnodar region in 2018 (https://www.czl23.ru/news.php?extend.346). It was also reported outdoor in Sochi in 2014 on Cryptomeria japonica, Platycladus orientalis, Sequoia sempervirens; however, the identity of the pest in Sochi would need to be confirmed (Karpun, Russian Research Institute of Floriculture and Subtropical Crops, pers. comm., 2025).
