Comments
Since 1978, extensive outbreaks are reported yearly from southern Japan.

EPPO Reporting Service 493/03 (1988): intercepted in the Netherlands on chrysanthemums from Japan. See also EPPO Reporting Service 498/06.

By 1993, country itself reports the pest as widespread in Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu and Ryukyu, i.e. in all parts of Japan except the most northern island of Hokkaido.
