From NPPO (2020): Infected plants (Fragaria x ananassa) found in 2016 in a nursery. All plants were destroyed. In 2016-2019 visual inspections and test did not detect Strawberry mild yellow edge virus. Considered eradicated.
Cieślińska & Hennig E (2026): detected in 116 samples out of 423 collected from strawberry plants grown in commercial and experimental plantations in seven provinces of Poland.
