Comments
Tubby et al. (2023) note: A single record of L. acicola in exotic P. patula plantations in Ecuador (Evans and Oleas, 1983) relied solely on observations of macroscopic, foliar symptoms in a forest stand known to be infected with Dothistroma species. Although Ecuador is included in global records of Lecanosticta, samples from this region should be re-analysed using molecular methods to confirm species identity.
