Several Soviet texts on potato diseases refer to brown rot, but without making it clear whether and where this disease occurs in Russia.
EPPO Reporting Service (2001/123) : confirmed case in 1999 in potato plot in Leningrad province.
EPPO Reporting Service (2003/067) : isolations from diseased potato plants in different parts of Russia gave 59 strains of race 3. Brown rot can cause severe losses in potato and tomato in some regions, but the geographical distribution is not specified.

EPPO Reporting Service (2019/101) : detected in two samples from Kostroma region (Central Russia).
