Puccinia pittieriana(PUCCPT)

Distribution details in Mexico

Situation
Current pest situation evaluated by EPPO on the basis of information dated 2019: Absent, unreliable record
From CABI Disease map 113 (1994): Present, no details
Comments
Past records in Mexico are questioned by Olalora & Berndt (2019), as P. telimutans is a new rust species of Solanum demissum and S. verrucosum which has formerly been confused with P. pittierana. Re-examination of specimens from Mexico were found to be P. telimutans (and not P. pittieriana).
