First found in Primorsky krai in 1974. Regular surveys are being carried out, the disease occurs in private greenhouses, parks and gardens (including a botanical garden) over small areas (e.g. 0.15 ha in 2003, 0.37 ha in 2004, 0.77 ha in 2006, 1.14 ha in 2007). Under official control.
As of 2020-01: present in 2 federal subjects (0.56 ha).
EPPO Reporting Service (2025/255) : appears in the 2024 report of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation as a quarantine pest of limited distribution in Russia: present in 2 federal subjects (6.58 ha).
As of 2020-01: present in 2 federal subjects (0.56 ha).
