EPPO Reporting Service (2010/059) : detected in 2009, in 2 samples of melon plants (Cucumis melo) collected from a farm (Ferrara province, Emilia-Romagna region).
EPPO Reporting Service (2011/150) : another outbreak was reported in 2011, in 1 melon crop in Sardegna. The whole crop was destroyed.
EPPO Reporting Service (2012/102) : the outbreak in Emilia-Romagna (see above) was eradicated in 2012.
From NPPO (2014): the 2 outbreaks reported in 2010 and 2011 (Emilia-Romagna and Sardegna) have been eradicated. The disease has not been found again.
