Comments
P. japonica was accidentally introduced into the Azores (Terceira Island) in the early 1970s. It has subsequently been recorded from the islands of Faial, Flores, Pico, Sao Jorge, and Sao Miguel. It is not known to occur in mainland Portugal.

First reported from the Island of Graciosa (2019-08). Under eradication.
