QPE gives the record as "Found but not established", but this relates back to citations in Zaumeyer & Thomas (1957) of German publications in 1923 and 1932. These publications refer to P. griseola as a pathogen of beans, in general terms, but do not provide an explicit record in Germany. There are no other "records", explicit or implied, and it may be concluded that P. griseola has never occurred in Germany. This is the official view of the German Plant Protection Service.
