It has been reported from several Italian regions: Apulia, Basilicata, Campania, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardia, Marche, Toscana, Sicilia, Veneto. Under official control.
EPPO Reporting Service (2004/162) : first reported in Campania in 2002, then in Marche, where serious losses are occurring in palm nurseries

EPPO Reporting Service (2006/105) : found in Puglia region in 2004, but only in palm nurseries. In 2006, found in old palm trees near Bari.

EPPO Reporting Service (2009/109) : found in Veneto region on several plants of Trachycarpus fortunei, all infested plants have been destroyed.
