EPPO Reporting Service (2009/049) : first found in 2009 on Chamaerops humilis and Washingtonia filifera near Paphos, under eradication.

According to Vassiliou et al. (2009): first found in October 2008 in Paphos district on 1 Chamaerops humilis and 1 Washingtonia filifera. In December 2008, also found on isolated palm trees of Phoenix roebelenii. From January until May 2009, 8 infested W. filifera and 2 T. fortunei were detected. All infested palm trees have been destroyed.
