EPPO Reporting Service (2004/170) : not found in a survey that included testing of 383 samples.

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/016) : detected in Baden-Württemberg in an orchard in fruits of Rubus fruticosus (blackberries) and in an adjacent orchard in fruits of Prunus domestica (plums).

According to NPPO (2011-01): M. fructicola occurs only in Baden-Württemberg. It was first found in 2009 in (Rubus fruticosus (blackberries) and also in 2010 in Prunus avium (cherry) and Prunus domestica subsp. insititia (damson). Infested fruits and blackberry canes were removed.

EPPO Reporting Service (2011/177) : detected in June 2010 on apples (Malus domestica cv. Jonagold) in a garden in Fronhausen (Hessen).
