EPPO Reporting Service (2022/241) : first detected in 2022 in 4 locations in the Northern Territory (Middle Point, Jingili, Palmerston, and Malak) on various vegetable plants. A sample which had been collected in 2021 was re-examined and shown to be M. enterolobii, thus suggesting that the nematode has been present at least since then.

EPPO Reporting Service (2023/001) : in December 2022 it was detected in a property in North Queensland.

EPPO Reporting Service (2023/129) : following delimiting surveillance, it was detected at a further six properties in the Northern Territory, and one location in southern Queensland. Due to the pest’s biology and geographical distribution, it was determined that M. enterolobii is not eradicable from Australia.
