EPPO Reporting Service (2018/024) : in August 2017, 1 specimen was trapped and killed on the North pier of the old harbour of Skanör (Scania county, Southern Sweden). No other specimen could be found. Eradicated.

From NPPO (2022): Leptinotarsa decemlineata is a 'Protected zone quarantine pest" in 5 counties, not in the entire country. The pest was found in July 2021 in the protected zone of Scania.
