Occasionaly found (probably carried to Finland with air currents from neighbouring countries) but not established in the field. Outbreaks are subject to eradication measures.
EPPO Reporting Service (2001/201) : after having remained eradicated for many years, found again in 2001 in two private gardens. Probably entered by natural dispersal from Russia, or carried by traffic. Eradication measures applied.
EPPO Reporting Service (2002/165) : found again in 2002-06/09, in 55 farms producing potato and 269 gardens.
EPPO Reporting Service (2003/167) : found in 2003 in one farm and 5 private gardens. Under eradication.
According to EVIRA press release of July 2010, L. decemlineata has not been detected in Finland since 2007. Eradication was confirmed by the NPPO in 2011-06.
EPPO Reporting Service (2011/195) : several outbreaks were reported during summer 2011 in commercial potato fields and home gardens. Under eradication.
According to EVIRA press release of August 2012, L. decemlineata has been detected in 8 sites (Karjalohja, Loviisa, Pornainen, Vihti, Kangasniemi, Savitaipale, Kotka, Salo). In January 2013, the NPPO declared that 11 outbreaks were found in 2012. Eradication measures were applied.
From NPPO (2018): no beetles were found during the 2017 surveys conducted in the Protected Zone. The outbreaks recorded in previous years are declared eradicated.
EPPO Reporting Service (2023/103) : found in 3 fields in 2021. Under eradication.
From NPPO (2023-09): based on the inspections carried out, all outbreaks have been eradicated and the control measures have been terminated on September 5, 2023.
