Colorado beetle started to invade China in the 1990s, most probably as a result of natural spread from Kazakhstan. For the moment, it is only recorded in the northern province of Xinjiang.
EPPO Reporting Service (2020/158) : recorded in Xinjiang since 1993. In Jilin province since 2013, and in Heilongjiang Province since 2014. In 2019, distributed in 48 countries in 3 provinces in China.
