Comments
The record (attributed to Schmutterer, 1959) is only to the genus Lopholeucaspis, of which L. japonica is mentioned as one of two examples, without any particular reference to Germany. The other example, L. cockerelli, is mentioned as the only species ever found in Germany, several decades ago. By inference, L. japonica is not considered by Schmutterer ever to have occurred in Germany. So the record (taken up in QPE) is a mistake.
