EPPO Reporting Service (2000/105) : at one time thought to be confined to the southern part of the small island of Iriomote. Recent studies show it is present at at least 4 locations on Okinawa, one of the major citrus-producing areas of Japan

EPPO Reporting Service (2006/084) : also in adjacent islands forming part of Kagoshima prefecture, and thus in Kyushu (but not the 'mainland').
