EPPO Reporting Service (98/013): L. floccissimus was first observed in 1991 in the southern coast of Tenerife (Islas Canarias).

EPPO Reporting Service (2000/068) : first found on Tenerife, then in 1999-11 on La Gomera (on mango).

EPPO Reporting Service (2001/142) : causing problems on many ornamental species (Ficus bejamina, F. pumila, palms).
