Hop stunt viroid(HSVD00)

Distribution details in Jamaica

Situation
Current pest situation evaluated by EPPO on the basis of information dated 2009: Present, no details
First recorded in: 2003
Comments
Detected for the first time during surveys carried out in 2003/2004 in the major citrus-growing areas of Jamaica. Apart from stunting, conspicuous HSVd symptoms were not observed in the field (because of the prevalence of tolerant sour orange rootstocks in orchards, but this may change in the future with the replanting on CTV tolerant trifoliate rootstocks).
