EPPO Reporting Service (2002/090) : accidentally introduced into Tahiti.

EPPO Reporting Service (2007/135) : first in Tahiti (1999), and then almost all islands in the Society Island group (Moorea in 2002 - Tahaa, Raiatea, Huahine, Bora Bora, Maupiti from 2001 to 2005), Marquesas Islands (Nuku Hiva in 2004), and Austral Islands (Tubuai and Rurutu in 2005). Acts as a direct pest of woody plants, not as a vector of X. fastidiosa which is not present. Good prospects of biological control.
