According to the Slovak NPPO, adults were caught in a light trap in SW Slovakia in 1996-08, near Nitra. A detailed survey of the area then showed outbreaks at five sites, on tomato and maize. The pest has not been found since. Confirmed by EPPO Reporting Service (1999/021) .
