EPPO Reporting Service (2011/237) : a first isolated finding was made in the region of Burgenland in 2010. In 2011, the pest was no longer found in Burgenland but was detected in May in the region of Vienna (warehouses of a trader where tomatoes had been stored).
From NPPO (2018): present in areas with intense (all year-round) tomato greenhouse production. Unlikely to overwinter outdoors.
