Comments
According to Gkorezis et al. (2016): isolated from roots of poplar trees planted on the polluted grounds of a former car factory for phytoremediation. During these studies, the isolated strain revealed a capacity to stimulate plant growth and to degrade diesel. Following this report, the NPPO of Belgium contacted various other research laboratories which noted that they had not found the bacterium (except 2 bacterial strains isolated from a symptomatic onion grown in Belgium but whose identity has not been fully confirmed). It is also noted that no specific surveys are conducted on this bacterium in Belgium.
