EPPO Reporting Service (2003/112) : reported to have been detected in consignments from Syria imported into Algeria but possible presence in Syria remained unconfirmed.

EPPO Reporting Service (2008/049) : present, first recorded in 2005/2006, isolated foci in the Governorate of Rif Damashq.

According to Al-Jabor (2012), also in the Governorate of Al Sweida on apple and quince.
