From NPPO (2014): absence has been confirmed by yearly surveys between 2006-2013 (inspections in nurseries, forests and public green).
EPPO Reporting Service (2016/029) : first observed in July 2015 by amateur entomologists and citizens; 3 outbreak sites confirmed in the provinces of Limburg, Antwerpen and Vlaams.
From NPPO (2019): according to observations made by citizen naturalists, the pest has expanded its range towards the west of the country since 2015.
From NPPO (2021): the insect is considered to be established and distributed throughout all the main production area of the host plants. Eradication is no longer possible.
