First detected in 2009, it now occurs in Campania (Salerno province), Emilia-Romagna (Bologna, Ferrara, Forli-Cesena, Modena, Ravenna, Rimini provinces), Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Liguria (Savona, La Spezia provinces), Lombardia (Bergamo province), Marche (Pesaro e Urbino province), Piemonte (Cuneo, Torino provinces), Sicilia, Trentino-Alto Adige (Trento, Bolzano provinces), Toscana (Pisa province), Valle d'Aosta, Veneto (Verona province).

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/007) : detected for the first time in autumn 2009 in a few areas of the province of Trento, in the municipalities of Pergine Valsugana (Canzolino), Trento (Vigo Meano), Imer, Segonzano, and Vigo Cavedine. Damage has been observed on the following crops: Vaccinium spp. (blueberries), Rubus idaeus (raspberries), Fragaria ananassa (strawberries), Rubus spp. (blackberries).

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/112) : found in Toscana region during a faunistic study in natural forest environments in the municipality of San Giuliano Terme (province of Pisa).

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/178) : found in 2010 in the province of Bolzano (Trentino-Alto Adige region).

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/209) : found in 2010 in the provinces of Cuneo and Torino (Piemonte region) on several fruit crops but no damage was reported.

EPPO Reporting Service (2011/057) : also found in 2010 in Campania and Liguria.

EPPO Reporting Service (2011/194) : also found in 2011 in Lombardia.

EPPO Reporting Service (2012/144) : also found in 2012 in new areas of Liguria, Marche, Sicilia, Valle d’Aosta, and Veneto.
