First reported in spring 2010, it occurs in Aquitaine, Corse, Ile-de-France, Languedoc-Roussillon, Limousin, Lorraine, Midi-Pyrénées, Pays-de-la-Loire, Poitou-Charentes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and Rhône-Alpes, under official control.
EPPO Reporting Service (2010/111) : first identified in June 2010 on cherries and strawberries in Southern France (Alpes-Maritimes, Corse, Var).
EPPO Reporting Service (2010/179) : during summer 2010, D. suzukii was found on various fruit crops (apricot, cherry, peach and nectarine, raspberry, strawberry) in the following regions: Corse, Languedoc-Roussillon, Midi-Pyrénées, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, and Rhône-Alpes.
EPPO Reporting Service (2011/080) : caught on different fruit crops, mainly in the southern part of France and in the Rhône valley.
EPPO Reporting Service (2012/011) : it continues to spread, under official control.
