Comments
According to a US Data Sheet: present in Ryukyu Islands (including Okinawa), and in the Bonin Islands (Chichi-jima Island in particular).

Country itself has since (1993) reported eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (2016/004) : detected in Amami Oshima Island (Kagoshima Prefecture - Kyushu) in September 2015. Between 2015-09-01 and 2015-10-31, 531 adult flies were trapped. Under eradication.

Eradication was officially confirmed in August 2016.
