Comments
Outbreaks have occasionnally been reported and in all cases, subject to eradication measures.

EPPO Reporting Service (2008/035) : an outbreak was detected in 2007 in companies producing tomato fruits, all located in Styria. All infected plants have been destroyed.

EPPO Reporting Service (2008/214) : an outbreak was detected again in 2008 in Vienna and Vorarlberg (fruit production). All infected plants have been destroyed.

EPPO Reporting Service (2009/118) : an outbreak was detected in 2009 in 1 sample of tomato seed which had been produced in 2008 in Burgenland. Eradication measures were taken.

From NPPO (2022): in the past, there had been occasional outbreaks of Cmm in tomato glasshouses and plastic tunnels. The last finding dated 2018. This outbreak and all previous ones were eradicated. In the last three years 2019-2021, there were no further findings of Cmm in Austrian tomato production.
