The statement appearing in the EPPO data sheet (QPE, 1997) which says: ‘In the EPPO region, the disease causes losses, particularly in Poland and …’ is considered erroneous by the Polish NPPO.
EPPO Reporting Service (2011/088) : from 2006 to 2009, 199 samples of Medicago sativa (lucerne) have been collected and tested. The bacterium was detected in only 1 crop which was consequently destroyed. This was the second detection on the Polish territory since 1965.
