EPPO Reporting Service (2006/138) : according to Harveson et al. (2006), the bacterium has not been reported since 1970s.

But this was later contradicted by other Internet sources; and by USDA which confirmed in 2010 its presence in Colorado (correspondance with CABI).

EPPO Reporting Service (2015/057) : confirms that since the 2000s, it has re-emerged in the Central High Plains (Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming) where it has been identified in almost 500 bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) fields. Losses in both yield and quality have been observed.
