Comments
Ceratitis capitata was found in citrus orchards in 2006/2007 in Iraq (Dyala, Salah-Aldeen and Baghdad provinces) . This pest had been found in the past (in 1947) but had disappeared after very strict regulations. It is felt that the re-appearance of the pest is due to illegal imports from infested countries.
