EPPO Reporting Service (2009/142) : first found in August 2008 on wilting red oaks in a residential area in Scotia.

McLaughlin et al. (2022): "New York has remained the northeastern extent of the disease's known range, and the disease is limited to small infection sites in just five counties statewide. Approximately 75% of New York's infection centres consist of one or two infected trees when they are discovered, and an average of one infection centre is found per year."
