Notes

Native to the Euro-Mediterranean region, extending to Central Asia, Western Asia, India, Indochina, China. Cultivated since ancient times as a condiment, and frequently occurring as a weed, so origin is obscure. Also used to make mustard oil. Introduced in Northern Europe, Russian Far East, South Africa, North America, Central America, Caribbean, South America (Western), New Zealand.
