Comments
Until 2012, isolated beetles of A. glabripennis were occasionally found but these incursions did not lead to establishment. The first outbreak was reported in 2012 in Paddock Wood (England). Eradication measures were taken. As the pest has not been found for more than 5 consecutive years, its successful eradication was officially confirmed in 2019.

EPPO Reporting Service (2010/124) : detected in Cumbria, most probably linked to imports of wood packing material from China.

EPPO Reporting Service (2012/069) : first outbreak detected in March 2012 near the town of Paddock Wood in Kent, southeast England. Under eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (2013/041) : in the Paddock Wood area, 67 trees have been found infested and more than 250 live larvae have been found inside these trees. Eradication continues.

EPPO Reporting Service (2019/115) : surveys conducted in the Paddock Wood area and at national level confirmed the absence of the pest for more than 5 consecutive years. Successful eradication of the pest was officially declared in 2019.
