In 2007: absence was confirmed by a survey in 2007 (inspections in nurseries, forests and public green). One interception in 2004 on wood packing material imported from China.

EPPO Reporting Service (2009/043) : 2 adult beetles were found in a private garden in 2008. It is suspected that the insects had been introduced by wooden boxes (containing stones) from China. No other specimen could be found, the NPPO of Belgium considers that the pest has not been able to establish. Under eradication.

EPPO Reporting Service (2011/190) : since 2008, no further beetles were found around the finding place. In addition, surveys carried out across the whole Belgian territory did not detect A. glabripennis for three consecutive years. The NPPO officially declared in 2011 that the pest has been eradicated.

From NPPO (2014): absence confirmed in official surveys between 2011-2013.
