Notes

Mediterranean, Western Asia, Africa (except southern).  The nominate sub-species is weedy, as opposed to A. g. sylvestris. Introduced in many European countries, Central Asia, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand. See also A. blitoides, with which it is not synonymous.
