Fallow land which is planted with a crop different from the one usually cultivated. Green fallow is used to cover the soil during the winter period between harvesting of the first crop and sowing of the next one in the following spring. Green fallow is typically used for the production of green manure e.g. this Code can be used for herbicides to control weeds in clover cultivated as green fallow.
This Code does not cover successive crops (see the Code ‘Inter-crop 3INTCO’).
