EPPO Reporting Service (2017/078) : first found in the municipality of Benifaió (Comunidad Valenciana) on a small number of trees (6 Ceratonia siliqua), under official control.
From NPPO (2018): In October 2018, 12 new affected carob trees (Ceratonia siliqua) were detected near those notified in 2017 and in an area located at less than 1 km from them (municipality of Picassent). Symptoms were detected on branches, but no new dead trees by the harmful organism have been found. Under eradication.
