Comments
In 2006, U. transversalis was intercepted in Hawaii on cut gladiolus flowers imported from Florida. Its presence was confirmed in Florida and subsequently in California. Outbreaks are submitted to eradication measures.

In 2012, detected on gladiolus plants located on a commercial farm (Manatee County) where infestations were previously found in 2006, and again in 2010 and 2011. Phytosanitary measures were taken to prevent any further spread.

NPPO (2015): no longer regulated.
