From Tsai et al. (2011): Tomato leaf curl disease was first observed in 1981 in south-western Taiwan and by 1995 it was present accross the whole island. Several viruses: Tomato leaf curl Taiwan virus, Tomato yellow leaf curl Thailand virus and Tomato leaf curl Hsinchu virus have been detected.
