AgroAtlas on the Internet considers that T. controversa occurs in Azerbaijan, however in the Azeri phytosanitary regulations (2007) T. controversa is considered as an A1 quarantine pest (absent). The quarantine list of 2024 does not list it as a quarantine pest any longer.
