Routine surveillance programmes (official plant health checks in nurseries, glasshouses, garden centers etc.) never detected the pest. Not included in the checklist of Thysanoptera by Gertsson (2015).
From NPPO (2018): a few specimens were found on potted plants in garden centres in July 2018 during official surveys. These findings are considered as interceptions.
