From country itself (1992): this pest has never been cited nor detected in Uruguay. Since 1988, the national plant protection service analyzes consignments of: 1) seed potatoes from the national certification programme, 2) potatoes to be exported, 3) imported seed potatoes; the pest has never been detected in any of these consignments nor in any other part of the country. It is therefore declared never to occur.
